Cookie Policy

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser to remember something about you — a setting, a session, or an identifier used for statistics. Browser storage (localStorage) works similarly but is not sent to servers automatically. EU law requires your consent before any storage that is not strictly necessary for the site to work.
2. What this site stores
This site sets no analytics or marketing cookies by default. Analytics load only if you choose “Accept analytics” in the cookie banner. The full inventory:
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| horge-consent | HorGe (localStorage) | Remembers your cookie choice so we do not ask on every visit | Until deleted | Strictly necessary |
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors for aggregate usage statistics | 2 years | Analytics — only after consent |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics | Maintains session state for usage statistics | 2 years | Analytics — only after consent |
If analytics have not yet been enabled in the site configuration, none of the Google cookies above are set and no banner appears: the site then stores nothing beyond your consent choice.
3. Withdrawing or changing your choice
Use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of any page to reopen the banner and change your choice. Rejecting or withdrawing consent removes nothing you need — the site works identically either way.
4. Managing cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Site settings
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
